Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Paro

Bhutanese hospitality begins from the moment you step off the plane, as you are met at the airport by your guise and taken to your hotel in Paro.  Enjoy an orientation walk of Paro town before your first group dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2 Paro

Today we stretch out your legs and warm up, with a day of sightseeing in the Paro valley.   Enjoy learning some of the country’s history before we set off on our hike. (B,L,D)

Day 3 Paro

Today we hike to the stunning Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), a breathtaking monastery clinging to the cliff walls 900 metres above the valley floor. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Paro/Jele Dzong

This morning, enjoy a visit the Ta Dzong National Museum to further your understanding of Bhutanese history and culture before setting off on our hike along the Druk Path to Jele Dzong. (B,L,D)

Day 5 Jele Dzong/Jangchulakha

Today we hike the stretch between Jele Dzong and Jangchulakha.   You will be rewarded with spectacular mountain scenery and flowering rhododendron bushes as you continue your way along the Druk Path. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Jangchulakha/Jimilangtsho

This morning we leave Jangchulakha and enjoy hiking through the mountains.   You will be mesmerised as you set sight on the stunning lake at Jimelangtsho, where we spend the night. (B,L,D)

Day 7 Jimilangtsho/Simkotra

We continue along the Druk Path, enjoy the scenery, flora and fauna as we head to Simkotra Lake for a well-earned rest . (B,L,D)

Day 8 Simkotra/Phajoding

This morning we climb up to Phume La, where you will be rewarded with impressive views across the towering Himalaya peaks, be sure to have enough room on your memory cards for spectacular photos here. We spend the night at Phajoding.  (B,L,D)

Day 9 Phajoding/Thimphu

Pull on your hiking boots for the final time this morning as we leave Phajoding and trek down to Thimphu where the trek ends. Enjoy a well earned rest tonight knowing that you have completed the Druk Path.  (B,L,D)

Day 10 Thimphu/Paro

Today we spend the day exploring the sights of Thimpu in a much more relaxed manner.  Discover the Institute of Traditional Medicine Services and Folk Heritage Museum.   Enjoy the night in Paro.  (B,L,D)

Day 11 Paro

After a delicious breakfast, farewell your new travel mates and get one last group photo before starting the next leg of your adventure.   Depart at any time. (B)
